"Thank you sir, we'll leave as soon as we can" Alice said quietly. She bowed before the Prince once more. Quietly, and not truly thinking.
"The Prince asked her to join her upstairs"Metallic said "we won't stay long. Alice promised to have you back by tonight. But till then, we should bribe the kitchen staff"

"Before your departure, I must request that you introduce me to your princess," Melchior stood up and made his way to the door.
He was determined to meet her, but his romantic interests were growing small. He was much more curious to see what she looked like, and how she carried herself. Melchior had clearly never spent any time in Andalasia before.

"The Prince?" This was accompanied by a raised eyebrow. So that was the young man who hed been speaking to Alice so rudely! Well, his sister was quite a dear, but Melchior had made a very poor first impression indeed.
A tiny frown knotted her brow, but was erased at the mention of foof. She smiled slightly, suddenly a bit shy. "The sounds delicious. I forgot to eat last night, I was up late sketching again." She admitted quietly, before hearing the sound of footsteps on the stairs.
She whirled gracefully (a trick that had taken her years of dancing lessons) to smile on Alice as she arrived. The smile quickly became a neutral look as the young man behind her appeared into sight.

"A quick introduction. But then we must depart." Alice said quietly. Down the stairs she went and saw the knight and the She looked towards the Princess and weakly smiled.
"My lady, Metallic ...this is Prince Melchior" Alice said quietly. Visibly she began to shake with the Prince standing behind her.
"So we meet again sire" Metallic said partly standing in front of Emielia. Metallic, never blessed with a child, thought of all the young ones his children. Even royalty.

Well, she looked normal, Melchior thought. "It is a pleasure to meet you," He took her hand and kissed it. "I've heard you seek a flower, Princess. And I do believe we have one. But first, dine with me, I imagine your journey was long, you must be absolutely famished."
Melchior was capable of politeness, but it didn't often show. Lady Alice and her knight were beneath him, socially speaking, but he was compelled to show respect for his equal. He noted that she did look a bit like the artistic type. It was...refreshing, in a way to see a princess who was probably not even materialistic. It was silly of him, but he saw a lot in Emelia. He saw the people she socialized with and guessed what they might be like. And now he was even more curious than before.
He offered his arm to her to escort her to the dining room just down the hallway adjacent to the staircase.

"A pleasure to meet you as well." All the excitement, and strange child-like joy at finally finding a new subject to sketch had dissappeared, and was smoothly replaced by serene, calm expression. Her voice was cool and detached. Mia didn't like acting this way, she had just found it easiest to not let her guard down.
She smiled slightly as he kissed her hand, and resisted the urge to turn it into a handshake, She wasn't a man, however, and therefore that wasn't within decorum. She was itching to just ask for the flower and be off, but it wasn't polite. She was the gust after all, and it wasn't as if she came on important business.
"I am seeking a flower - one that it rumored to be blooming here, but hasn't been spotted in the past seven years." A little of the passion returned in her voice, but she quickly wiped it away, hoping he hadn't noticed. "I would be delighted to dine with you, Prince Melchior. But allow me to introduce myself. I am Princess Emelia." She said softly, with a slight curtsy before accepting his arm.

"Well, Princess Emelia, it is most certainly an honor to meet you. And while I know little about plants, you are most humbly welcome to wander our gardens until your heart is content." Melchior would allow for her and her court to stay as long as the needed, he knew from hours spent with his father that it was rude to refuse a royal guest, or anyone of upper class citizenship.

"Thank you, that is a most generous offer. I'm sorry to intrude on your family here. Alice - you've met her, yes? - was here on some official bussiness, and I couldn't resist the chance to sketch something new." She smiled to herself, and turned her face towards the hall as they walked. She was definitely going to get lost, considering she did so often in her own house. "Yes, well, I will do my best to stay out of the way, for both her and you."

"It is no imposition at all, I assure you. Please don't worry about troubling me, I don't believe it's possible," he smiled charmingly. Melchior was confident that she wouldn't, and he didn't particularly think it was his place to control his equal.
"I appologize, my mother and father are away on business. Out by the sea, actually. You are welcome to sty until they've returned. They're anticipated to arrive back tomorrow."

"Thank you. In any case, I'll be certain to stay out of the way and allow for the real work that needs to get done here be done." She added, before falling quiet as they completed their journey. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the young man. He certainly seemed a bit rougish to her. Certainly, he was charming and full of bravado on the outside, but how did he act when not in the company of his equals?
It took a moment for her to realize he had spoken again, and she blinked rapidly to clear her head. "I would love to meet them, if they haven't more pressing issues to attend to."

And Alice watched as she and Metallic had been left in the dust by the two royals. Metallic was tipping on the verge of his split personality. He could either be kind and naive, or murderous and filled with pure rancor and Malice.
"Metallic, calm down" Alice said "It just so happens, that we have to leave. I'm sure the roadside will have them. This isn't the only place in Novington they grow."
"True...but let's hurry and get her away from the snake" Metallic said heading forward quickly.
"Wait!" Alice said following after him.

"Well, I cannot be certain at this time, but I'm sure they'd love to meet. Mother has always said fond things about your parents."
Melchior knew little of his mother's friendship with Andalasia's queen, just that they had once known each other and become estranged since marriage. It would be arrogant of him to say such things about Emelia's mother. At least in front of her. He was skeptical about Andalasians. Eventually he'd get around to visiting that part of the country, but for now, he would think the way he did. It would take enough to convince him otherwise.

She nodded quickly, before turning her gaze back to the floor and thinking again. She didn't know much about the relationship her parents had with his, but it could never hurt matters to speak with them, could it? Still, she had best be discreet in these matters, lest she trod on some tender spots by accident.
She frowned for a second, and tilted her head so she could see Alice before they dissappeared from sight. Alice and Metallic were having a discussing, and it seemed that she was restraining him. From what? Suspicious of the Prince who strode beside her, she ducked her head. "That is, of course, if Alice wishes to remain here that long."
